DANTE Capelli's mission is to transform LEATHER into accessories that will accompany you for a lifetime, becoming even more beautiful with time. However, since this is a natural material, it requires simple care that contributes to its longevity.
DAILY CARE:
Keep your leather item away from products containing alcohol, bleach, and/or ammonia, as they can dry it out and cause irreversible stains. Once leather becomes dry, it will crack on its surface, compromising its durability.
Do not submerge leather in liquids or substances (water, sea, pool, oil, etc.). Excessive exposure to any fluid is harmful and can damage it.
Be cautious with sharp objects, pens/inks, and abrasive materials.
Leather is a natural material, and just like our skin, it needs to breathe. Therefore, avoid storing your item in closed spaces for extended periods. Excess moisture can lead to mold/mildew.
BASIC CLEANING
Lightly dampen a clean, dry, and soft cloth with water and gently wipe the smooth surface of the leather. Allow it to dry in the shade for a few moments. Then, hydrate the leather as suggested below.
However, if it is not possible to acquire it, you can use almond oil, coconut oil, or mocotó to help with hydration.
HOW TO HYDRATE: Using a clean, dry, and soft cloth, apply a thin layer of the balm (or oil) in circular motions. Wait for 20 minutes for the leather to absorb the moisturizer. With a dry cloth, remove the excess product and take the opportunity to give it a nice shine.
NOTE 1: The models NO.22, NO.4, NO.5, NO.6, NO.7, and NO.10 require more frequent hydration on the internal pockets (smooth part of the leather), as these areas have little contact with the hands. In this case, we recommend hydrating every 4 months or sooner if necessary.
NOTE 2: There is no specific interval for cleaning and hydrating, as the need depends on use. Our recommendation is to do it after the first 2 months and repeat only when you feel it's necessary. For example, I’ve used a NO.3 Minimalist for 5 years and never needed to hydrate it; the natural oils from my hands were enough.
